The "Our City. Our Schools." listening campaign was born from the recognition that the community members most impacted by the city & school district’s policies and decisions often do not have a voice at the table

The inaugural "Our City. Our Schools." listening campaign centered community conversations to build relationships with parents, students, community members, and organizations who are passionate about transforming Columbus City Schools and our ever-growing city. This is our city and these are our schools. Through the listening sessions, we had an opportunity to LISTEN to parents, students, educators and neighbors, LEARN about our shared concerns & visions for our city and our schools, and MOVE to develop an action plan to make our dreams a reality.

Three Key Priorities surfaced from the listening campaign:

• Substantial Reinvestment

• Transformative Reconstruction
